theSly5 is a small, welcoming art space in Hong Kong dedicated to artistic exploration and quiet creativity.
Here in the studio, I invite others to join me on a gentle journey of self-discovery and mindful making.
After years in corporate creative roles, I turned toward art as a path to personal growth and the empowerment of others. With clay especially, I find joy and reflections of life in the crafting process — sometimes the material simply lets my hands guide my mind, and time stands still when everything flows.
Trained in mindfulness and various meditation practices, I see the creative act as concentrative, meditative, and subtly healing. We begin with a tiny random spark, follow the flow without expectation, and often find ourselves immersed in pure, unforced joy.
The tangible outcome — handcrafted mementos made for curiosity, celebration, or commemoration — blends presence, intention, and above all, the quiet intuition that arises from joy.
